Perhaps it was a minor mistake on Mom's part to steal one of the prom centerpieces late Friday evening after she chaperoned. But ever since he held his first balloon, Owen has been stuck on them. In fact, he likes to let them go and yell "Goodbye Balloon!" As we can all hear, Owen is taking music lessons at school... seriously. The other day, we were out in the car and we actually heard him signing an improvised song to no familiar tune at all. The lyrics included "Mommy," "Daddy," and "Nini" (Nicholas), and it really was a catchy tune. Right now, he's got bravado over pitch. Of late, we are delighted that he is using "please" and "thank you." It used to be that we would ask, "Owen, can you say 'please'?" And he would look at us and say, "Yes," then continue to make his requests ad nauseum. So maybe every other request comes with a "please," but today, in the car on the way home, Nicholas sneezed and Owen said "God bless you, Nicholas." Kinda Cool!
