Owen enjoyed his trip to Demarest Farms this morning, especially because we pass it every morning on the way to day care, and he always counts the "cows on the barn," 1 to 4. We've even made up a song called "The Cows on the Barn" to the tune of "The Wheels on the Bus." Then we just interchange different animals to sing lots of different verses. After a walk through the corn maze, he also picked out our pumpkin, went shopping for some apples, and sat down to snack on a donut and some cider. He's loving his new house and yard, and this fall weather gives us great opportunity to go out for a walk in the stroller into town, or a trip to the park around the corner. Owen is especially liking his new school and classmates (the male/female ratio is 1 to 3, so really, what's not to like?!). And it's a pleasure to see how quickly he is learning, and to listen to how much he has to say.
