No ordinary bath!

Nicholas was baptized on Sunday, March 23, at the Easter Vigil at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Godparents Auntie Tara and Todd C. were delighted, as were Mom and Dad. The promise of the resurrection was confirmed for all present! Photo credit to Grandma and Grandpa C, who were proud to see two more grandchildren baptized -- Nicholas and his cousin Patrick. It was busy but beautiful!

Well, it's time for Mom to admit that she can't do it all. This is almost a month past due, but being a working mother of a toddler and an infant leaves, literally, no time for extracurriculars. So here are the latest updates... This kid is like his mother in almost every way. We should have known in the months before he was born and he was keeping us up half the night with his activity. He loves to chat, and if there's ANYTHING going on, he wants in. His baptism was no exception, as he was up the entire time. The jolly jumper is his favorite... until he bumps his head on the door frame, and then he goes to the Exersaucer ... for three minutes. Everything gets real boring real fast. The other day at Grandma A's house, he scootched, on his back, all the way across the floor. When we put him down on his belly, he kicks his legs and waves his arms, swimming through the air and popping his head up like a little turtle. He won't even sit back and relax in the car seat -- gotta pop that head forward and grab for something, anything. The only thing that captivates Nicholas is the attention of his older brother, which is endearing for the short time it lasts! Yesterday, he cut his first tooth, and it feels like the second is on the way soon. We suspected as much, given all the drool. At his 5 month appointment, he weighed in at 19 pounds, 2 ounces. Who knows what the 6 month well visit will bring?
