I am now back to work, so the epic posts about my sagas with the double stroller at Palisades Center are likely going to come to an end. Until next June, of course! In brief (ha, ha), Owen returned to Kindercare with little need of any transition days. His teacher said it was like he was never gone. It's been a week, and he's using the potty like an old pro, but still only for #1. Let's see what next week brings! By Friday, Nicholas' separation anxiety had waned. He turned to me with a mouth full of Rice Krispies and a handful of mandarin oranges and said "bye-bye," which sounded much more like "blub-blub," but I'll take what I can get. Peter is quickly catching on to our early morning routine, and his schedule is changing a bit, too. As this post's picture shows, by Saturday morning after breakfast, he was already wiped out. Believe it or not, it's easier to drop the boys' at their destinations earlier in the morning, because they get breakfast where they're going. We get them dressed and washed and are out the door by 6:30, and we're usually back by 5. I'm grateful to my colleagues at work this week for dealing with my mood swings. One second I'm delighted to be back and the next I'm ready to bawl. Gotta take it one day at a time!
